Lila Papailiou is a Shipping and commercial law lawyer and an Attorney at Law specialised in Civil, Commercial and Maritime disputes. She studied in Greece, at the Law School of Athens University and she holds an LL.M in International Trade and Maritime Law from the City University of London. In the past she has collaborated with a well known legal firm of Piraeus and offered counseling on legal matters to world-class incorporations.

She has a considerable experience in ship sale and purchase transactions and in ship financing, acting both for the Shipping Companies and the Banks.
She has experience in Counselling Banks on legalisation, financing and securities and the recovering of debts. She is counseling on commercial and corporate issues, while she is also experienced on anti-corruption agreements.

During her last attachment she was counseling the Piraeus Small and Medium sized companies Chamber and its members. Lila undertakes the formation of domestic and off-shore companies in different jurisdictions and the establishment of foreign companies in Greece.

Lila is a certified by ISO/IEC 17024 Data Protection Officer (DPO Executive, TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas)

She litigates before the Court of Appeals for civil and commercial cases. 

She speaks and works in the Greek and English languages. 

Lila is a keen bridge player and member of the board of several cultural and music associations.
